How to refill the HP 60 black ink cartridge

The HP 60 black cartridge works with pigmented inks, which is why it yields up to 220 pages with laser printing quality. Even after refilling it, this cartridge will still print up to 150 pages, but only if you use pigmented ink when doing it. To learn more about this type of ink, please visit the following post.

We could even state that a new generation of HP cartridges began after this one came out, since the new ones print fewer pages than the older HP cartridge models.

This is why we shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that our ink cartridges print fewer pages than the traditional ones, the HP 60 black cartridge is compatible with the following printer models:

HP deskjet D1660, D2530, D2545, D2560, D2660, D2680, D5545 and D5560. when refilling this cartridge, we recommend you only inject 5ml of ink into it. This amount surpases the original factory amount, but it won’t cause any problems.

Instructions for refilling the HP 60 black ink cartridge:

Before we start, we recommend you clean the contacts on this cartridge. While this is necessary, it’s not really mandatory since these cartridges have very high performance as it is.

However, if you haven’t used them, in a long time, there may be some dried ink on the print heads, and that’s never good. Please read the following post to learn how to clean the print heads on your ink cartridges.

After you’ve done the cleaning process which, again, is not mandatory and you can choose to avoid it completely, you can continue with the refilling procedure.

Step #1:
First, put the cartridge on top of any material that can take an ink spill or two. We don’t recommend you use any white fabric since you won’t be able to remove the ink from it, but you could use any black material, even a flat surface that you can clean ink from.

Step #2:
The, remove the label that carries the cartridge number, located at the very top of it. We recommend you always remove this label before refilling the cartridge.

This label is responsible for letting the necessary amount of air into the cartridge that will help it reach the highest performance and printing quality. Take this label off very slowly to avoid harming it.

Step #3:
Now inject the 5ml of ink as slowly as possible. We need you to add the ink very slowly to help spread the ink inside the cartridge, so it soaks the sponge that’s in it. Please take a look at the following image, and remember to take all the air out from the syringe.

Step #4:
Now that you’ve refilled the ink cartridge, all you need to do now is print a test sheet with it. We recommend you leave the cartridge inside the printer from now on.

Unfortunately, something could still go wrong with this procedure even if you’ve followed it strictly. If this is your case, please contact us by posting a comment in the section below this post.

We always recommend you print a test sheet after refilling the cartridge, so please visit the following post if you wish to learn how to do it.

If your ink cartridge starts blinking when you install it back in the printer, we recommend you read the following post to learn how to restore them. This same post will work on this cartridge and many others.

1. Take the ink cartridge out of the printer and clean the contacts on it with a wet napkin.
2. Clean the contacts on the printer as well.
3. If you still haven’t solved the problem, then turn your printer off for 10 minutes and disconnect the power cable. Wait until the 10 minutes have passed and then plug the cable back in the printer before installing the cartridge back in the printer.

How to refill the HP 57 tricolor ink cartridge

The HP 57 tricolor ink cartridge has very high page yield and photographic print quality, and it works with water-based or dyed inks. If you need more information regarding this ink type, please read the following post.

With this ink cartridge, as many other HP ones, you will need to refill it as very slowly in order to do it properly, and to help fill the sponge inside the cartridge completely.

The HP 57 ink cartridge is compatible with the following printer models:

HP deskjet  portable 450cbi; HP deskjet 5550, 5551 and 5552; HP officejet 6110; HP photosmart 100, 130, 230, 7150, 7350 and 7550, and HP multifuntion psc 2105, 2108, 2110, 2115,and 2150 y 2210.
When it’s brand new, it yields up to 500 pages. If you refill it using the procedure described ahead, it can still print 380 pages, approximately.

Procedure to refill the HP 57 tricolor ink cartridge:

Before we begin refilling the cartridge, we recommend you do this on a flat, easy-to-clean surface. You could also use a piece of wood as support. If you don’t have any of these at hand, then you can just use a piece of black cloth. You won’t be able to notice the ink that may fall on it while refilling this cartridge.

Step #1:
First, remove the label from the ink cartridge. As you may already know, these cartridge have one label on the very top of them, which indicated the cartridge number and color. Some people choose to take it off and get rid of it, but we recommend you take it off and keep it somewhere safe to put it back on the cartridge later.

In this way, you can keep the ink from drying up faster that it should, and you will help the sponge inside the cartridge last longer.

Step #2:
Fill the three syringes with 5ml of ink each; we recommend you only add this much ink to it. We also suggest you remove all the air that may be inside the syringe, just to avoid injecting air into the cartridge along with the ink. Please take a look at the following picture.
syringe with ink
syringe with ink
Step #3:
Now you may inject the amount of ink we mentioned earlier into the cartridge. Please remember to add the ink as slowly as possible to help the sponge inside the cartridge to absorb all the ink. Ifyou look at the following picture, you’ll be able to see where each color is found in the HP 57 tricolor ink cartridge.
place where you put the colors
place where you put the colors
Step #4:
Once you’ve filled  the ink cartridge completely, we recommend you put the label back on it exactly as it used to be. This label, as well as the canals on the top of the cartridge, make the perfect match to help the cartridge take as much air as it needs to make the ink drop.

If you need help with this procedure, please contact us by posting a comment in the section below this post.
Now place the cartridge back in the printer and have it print several test sheets with it.

Notes:
Let the ink cartridge rest for a few moments before making it print, This will allow the sponge inside the cartridge absorb all the ink. If you want, you could also shake  the cartridge a bit,m print head facing downwards, to make the ink drop even more.

If the ink cartridge has any problems when you install it, such as blinking, then please execute the following steps on your printer.

1. Take the ink cartridge out and clean the contacts on it.
2. Clean the contacts on the printer as well, exactly where they come in contact with the ones in the cartridge.
3. If this still doesn’t solve the problem, then leave the cartridge out of the printer for 2 hours and then put it back in it after the time has passed.
4. If none of these solutions work for you, just contact us by posting a comment in the section below this post.

How to get rid of the full waste ink pad error message on canon mp360 printers

When we talk about the canon mp360 printer, we talk about a device with good overall functioning and great performance, especially because of its compact design. You can print, copy and scan, all at the same time, on this printer.

This particular device can print up to 18 black-and-white pages per minute due to its high-speed performance, caused by the 2.0 usb cable it works with. It’s compatible with windowsxp (service pack 1) and windows 2000 (service pack 4). The canon mp360 printer can work with many different page sizes, such as letter, legal, A4, A5, 4 "x 6", 5 "x 7", USA. # 10 and envelope. You can also copy up to 18 pages per minute and make seamless copies.

However, the page counter on these printers needs to be restored after you’ve printed a large amount of pages. This program will cause an error message and say the waste ink pads in your printer are now full, which is a common situation when you’ve worked with these printers a lot. Everything needs to come to an end, at some point.

After you’ve printed many pages with your canon mp360 printer, the printer itself will tell you it needs to have all the ink pad absorbers in it changed, or that you need to take it in for official tech support. In most cases, we either aren’t close enough to the company, or simply lack the money or time to do this. Fortunately, on this post you’ll learn how to solve this error message when it appears on your printer. Just follow the steps ahead if this is what you want.

If you have any problem executing this procedure, please contact us by leaving a comment in the section below this post.

How to photocopy in canon mp series printers

When you’re working with a canon mp series printer, there are plenty of copy options on it. You can perform regular A4 copies up to high-resolution photographic copies. You may also do enlarged or reduced versions of the original document, as well as create seamless copies using these printers.

Normal or A4 copies:

This printer will take any of the following paper sizes:
4" x 6"/10 x 15 cm; 4" x 8"/101,6 x 203,2 mm; 5" x 7"/13 x 18 cm o 2,16" x 3,58"/55,0 x 91,0.

You must organize the sheets before loading them on the printer, for which we recommend you align the margins of the paper tray to be able to introduce them properly. Now please look at the next picture.

Before you begin, you must make sure the paper tray is loaded with a few pages. This main paper tray is located on the top of the printer.

Once the process is finished, remember to remove all the pages from the tray and close the access gate, since many foreign objects may enter the printer through it and cause paper jams that damage your printer. Click here to read our post regarding paper jams in canon printers.
The next image will show you where to place the blank pages you’re going to use in order to copy the original document of your choosing.

You must be very aware of the placement of the sheet on the scanner’s crystal to perform the actual scan. The next picture will show you how to do this properly.

You should also know that scanners usually have a small picture engraved on the plastic that surrounds the crystal that indicates the exact position the pages must be put in. The next picture will show you where to find it.

Once you lowered the lid and close the scanner, the next thing you must do is select how many copies you want to make. You will have to use the main screen on your canon printer for this, since almost all canon mp series printers have one installed on the top. Now select the amount of pages you want using the (+) key on it. You can make up to 20 copies of the same document using this printer. Now please pay attention to the next picture.
select the number of copies
select the number of copies
If you press the + button the number of pages will increase. The (f) symbol will appear on screen after you’ve reached 20 copies-. If you wish to return to 1, please push the + once more.

We recommend you put only the amount of pages you need to use in your printer.

If you wish to change the size of the copies, you must press the paper button. It will display all the types of paper the printer can copy. The page sizes you can choose from are the following:
1. Regular A4 u 8,5" x 11"
2. Photographic A4 paper u 8,5" x 11"
3. Photographic paper 10 x 15 cm o 4" x 6"

If you, for example, select the A4 size on this menu but use a photographic paper sheet to copy a document, then the final copy will have the size of the photographic sheet instead of the A4 one.

Important note: do not lift the cover of the scanner or remove the original document while the printer’s still copying. This will distort the information and make the copies look bad.

If you want to make color copies:

You can make all-black copies by selecting the black-and-white or color buttons located on the printer’s main panel. Now please look at the following picture.
color buttons
color buttons
The #9 button will allow you to make black-and-white copies with your printer, while the #8 one is related to color copies and the #7 is in charge of restoring.

This last button is used to restore the printer if you’ve refilled your ink cartridges and it doesn’t recognize them anymore. How to refill the HP 45 black ink cartridge

We could say this is one of the best cartridges HP has ever made, and we dare say this because of the many different qualities we’re about to tell you. First of all, this cartridge works with pigmented ink.

This type of ink grants the cartridge laser print quality, is much more resistant to humidity, and the prints stand the test of time way better than others. These cartridges also have an unique quality that allows them to perform prints of 600x600ppp.

This cartridge can make HP deskjet, photosmart, designjet and officejet series their ultimate printing quality, and is also compatible with the largest listing of printer models ever, such as: HP deskjet 712, 720, 722, 820, 830, 832, 850, 855, 870, 880, 882, 890, 895, 930, 932, 935, 950, 952, 960, 970, 990, 995, 1100, 1120, 1180, 1220, 1280, 1600, 6122, 6127 and 9300; HP inkjet 1220 fax; HP officejet g55, g85, g95, k60,k80, r40, r60, r80, t45 and t65; HP officejet pro 1150c, 1170c and 1175c; HP photosmart 115, 1215, 1218, 1315, p1000 and p1100; HP designjet 700, 750c, 750c plus and 755cm; and HP 110, 120, 140, 145, 150, 155, 160, 170, 180, 190, 210, 260, 270, 280 y 290 color copiers.

Another great trait of this ink cartridge is the page yield. The HP 45 black cartridge can yield up to 930 standard-size pages. In order to refill this ink cartridge, you will need to fill a syringe with 30ml of ink and add all off it into the cartridge.

These cartridges’ print heads are built into them and have very high resistance and endurance. If you follow this procedure exactly as we’re describing it, you will be able to refill this cartridge up to six (6) times without having any problems. This is a very large save on a great ink cartridge such as the HP 45 black model.

Refill procedure for the HP 45 black ink cartridge:

Before we begin, please put the cartridge on a piece of black cloth, preferably over a flat surface that you can clean easily, just in case you make a mess when refilling your cartridges.

Step #1:
First of all, put the ink cartridge with the print head facing downwards; the next picture will show you how to do it. To learn more about ink cartridges and print heads, please read the following post.

On the bottom, you’ll find a small piece of black plastic, which is sealing the cartridge and keeping you from seeing a small iron ball located on the lower side. This is where you’ll refill your ink cartridge.
place where refill the cartridge
place where refill the cartridge
At this point, we recommend you remove this seal very carefully to avoid pushing the iron ball inside the cartridge, since this can make things very difficult for you if you can’t find a replacement for the original ball.

Step #2:
Now pay attention to this next step. There are two different ways of injecting the ink into the HP 45 black cartridge. The first one is to push the iron ball inside the cartridge. If you choose to do this, you will need to have one of the printer cartridge plugs they sell in ink cartridge refill stores.

The second way is to inject the ink right next to this iron ball, adding very little strength to keep it and the silicone that surrounds it from any harm. This is the technique we recommend you use, since the cartridge plugs aren’t very easy to find.

piece must move
Step #3:
Regardless of the method you chose earlier, we recommend you inject the ink very slowly to avoid damaging the cartridge. Please remember you must only add 30ml of ink, and that all of it must be injected into the cartridge. Do not push the syringe all the way in to keep yourself from puncturing the ink cartridge.

Step #4:
After injecting the 30ml of ink to the cartridge, please take the syringe out and put it back inside completely empty. Insert the needle once more and inject all the air inside it. Once you’re back inside the cartridge, please remove 30ml of air from it, just to fill the space we create earlier with ink.

Step #5:
If you’ve chosen to push the iron ball into the cartridge, you will need to find a way of sealing it now that the process is finished. We recommend you use a screw or one of the original plugs we mentioned earlier, which would be the best option.

If, on the other hand, you chose to introduce the syringe right next to this little ball, then just make sure there isn’t any ink leaking from the cartridge. Put it with the print head facing downwards, and leave it like this for about two hours.

If you can tell there’s too much ink coming out of the print head, we recommend you take some more air out of the cartridge. If the exact opposite is happening, and there isn’t enough ink coming out, you must add a bit more of air to the cartridge. You can now handle both of these situations with the information we just gave you.

Suggestions:
We recommend you print several test sheets after finishing this process. If you wish to learn how to do this, please read the following post. You can also learn how to print a test sheet in grayscale, which will show you how clear and sharp the refill came out, and if there’s any problems with it.

How to refill the HP 41 tricolor ink cartridge

The HP 41 inkjet tricolor ink cartridge (5161a) can be refilled very easily, and we’re about to to show you how to do this procedure at your own home. You should know this is a very good ink cartridge, and ihat it will make colors look very well on any documents you want to print.

Usually, you can achieve very good printing quality with these ink cartridges on regular A4-sized paper sheets, the same kind of paper you can buy at a normal office supply store. The Hp 41 tricolor ink cartridge yields up to 400 pages, and we estimate they can be refilled up to five (5) times.

Also, damaging their print heads is a very difficult thing to do, due to their resistant interior design. You can refill this cartridge with dyed or pigmented inks, but the new ones are filled with dyed ink, which you can buy at any printer shop. You can use this same kind of ink on HP, canon and lexmark cartridges.

Please remember you can contact us anytime you’re going to refill an ink cartridge; we will be happy to help you. This cartridge is compatible with the following printer models: HP deskjet 1000c, 870c, 855c, 830c, and 820c series; HP officejet pro 1150c; HP color copier 110 and 120; and HP color copier 160.

These are the things you’ll need to refill your HP 41 tricolor ink cartridge:

1. Three (3) ink colors.
2. One syringe ffor every ink color. Do not use the same syringe for more than one or all of them.
3. Also, you will need a few plugs like the ones in the next picture. If you can’t find them, we recommend you seal the cartridges with a little bit of hot silicone. This can be removed in the future.

Refill procedure for the HP 41 tricolor ink cartridge:

Step #1:
First of all, have the cartridge facing upwards and place it on a dark piece of cloth that you don’t mind getting stained with ink. We also recommend you let it rest it on a flat surface that you can clean easily.

Warning: Do not be led astray by the colors displayed on the front of the cartridges. These are not the actual ink colors inside the cartridge. In the next picture, we’ll show you where they’re really located.

Step #2:
Then, you will need to remove the ink plugs located at the very top of the ink cartridges. You can do this by pushing these plugs back inside the cartridge. Doing this won’t compromise the cartridge’s functioning at all. The next picture will show you how they look, so please take a good look at it.

Step #3:
Once you’ve sunk the plugs into the cartridge, you must to identify each ink color in it. We recommend you always ignore the colors shown in the label , and to never use them as reference, much like we stated at the beginning of this post.

This can lead you to damaging your ink cartridges, so please avoid it at all costs. If you wish to learn how to identify these ink colors properly, we recommend you click on the following post.

The next picture will show you the proper color placement on your ink cartridge. You can see this by putting the cartridge on the same position you would if you were to install it on your printer. If you need any help with this, don’t hesitate in contacting us.
places to put colors
places to put colors
Step #4:
Now that you’ve identified all the ink colors properly, you may proceed to adding the ink to the cartridge. You will need to add 5ml of ink to a syringe in order to do this. In this case, we suggest you use a syringe that has a large needle, since these colors cartridges are a bit deep.

When refilling an ink cartridge, we always recommend you disperse the ink you inject into it. By this we mean you should ninject ink in more than one place in the cartridge, adding about 2ml of ink to the very bottom of it, and apply the rest of it slowly as you pull the needle out.

Remember to do this as delicately and softly as possible to make sure the cartridge gets all the ink its needs. If there are air bubbles inside the syringe, then don’t add the last few milliliters of ink to the HP cartridge.

Step #5:
You may now proceed to seal the ink cartridge with silicone, like we mentioned earlier. The original ink plugs can be very hard to find if you don’t refill cartridges professionally and can afford to buy large quantities of them. We suggest you use silicone because it can be removed easily in the future. Please take a look at the following picture.
closing holes at the end
closing holes at the end
We recommend you do this exact same procedure on all HP cartridges of the same type as this one: all of these cartridges work with the same kind of ink, which has fast-drying agents that act as soon as they come in contact with air Sealing or covering the ink cartridge will stop the ink from drying faster than it should.

Step #6:
Finally, we recommend you let your cartridge rest for at least a couple of hours, allowing the ink to spread inside it. Once you’ve installed them, please have the ink cartridges cleaned by using the printer’s own system. doing this will grant you good printing quality in your future printing jobs. How to refill the HP 40 black ink cartridge

The HP 40 black ink cartridge is one of the few high capacity cartridges, and it yields up to 500 top quality pages. This particular cartridge owes its printing quality to the pigmented ink it’s filled with.

This type of ink provides better printing quality on the sheets, since its components include many different dyes. You can read more information about pigmented inks in the following post.

As we were saying, this ink cartridge was created in the HP golden ages, and can’t be damaged as easily as other cartridge, Also, it lacks the inner sponge other cartridges have installed in them, and instead it has a small bag that contains all the ink.

This is particularly helpful if you want to refill your cartridge. Additionally, it’s very hard to damage the print heads on them. We recommend you refill this ink cartridge before it runs out of ink to avoid having any problems with the electronic circuit in it.

The HP 40 black ink cartridge is compatible with the following printer models: HP deskjet 1200; HP designjet 230, 250, 330, 350, 430, 450, 455, 488 and 650; and HP Copyjet and Copyjet M. The printing cost per page is very low, and you can just imagine how much more you could lower it by refilling this ink cartridge.

Even when this cartridge works with pigmented inks, you can also refill it with dyed inks. However, the pigmented one will resist discoloration and water exposure better than the dyed ones; it will also be more dense and have higher quality.

Refill procedure for the HP 40 black ink cartridge:

Before starting, please put your ink cartridge on a piece of black cloth, and preferably on top of a flat surface you can clean easily, just to avoid making a mess.

Step #1:
First of all, place the HP 40 black ink cartridge with the print head facing upwards. Take a look at the following picture for guidance. If you wish to learn more about ink cartridges and print heads in general, please visit the following post.

On the bottom of the ink cartridge, you’ll find a piece of black plastic that keeps you from seeing a small iron ball located on the lower side of the cartridge. This is where you’ll refill the cartridge. Now take a look at the next picture.

We recommend you remove this lid very carefully to avoid pushing the iron ball inside the cartridge. This can make things very difficult for you if you don’t have a plug to replace the iron ball with.

Step #2:
Please pay attention to this particular step. There are two different ways of injecting the ink to the cartridge. The first one is to push this iron ball back inside the cartridge. If you choose this method, you will need a plug sold only at ink cartridge refill stores.

The alternative way is to inject the ink right next to the iron ball. Please do not add too much pressure when doing this, just to keep the ball and the silicone that surrounds it safe from harm. This is the method we recommend the most, since these plugs aren’t very easy to find.
part to replace where the cartridges are filled
part to replace where the cartridges are filled
Step #3:
Regardless of the technique you selected, we always recommend you inject the ink as slowly as possible to avoid damaging the ink cartridge. Remember to inject only 10ml of ink to the cartridge, and do not push the needle all the way through the cartridge to avoid puncturing it.

Step #4:
After you’ve added the 10ml of ink to the cartridge, you may remove the syringe from it. Then, you will need to insert it again completely empty. Once it’s inside, take out 10ml of air from the inside of the cartridge, just to fill with ink the space you created by adding 10ml of air earlier.

Step #5:
If you’ve refilled this cartridge by pushing the iron ball inside it, you will need to look for a way of sealing the cartridge. We recommend you use a plug or a screw to get this done, but we’d prefer it if you’d use the exact same plug we mentioned at the beginning of this post.

If, on the other hand, you chose to inject the ink using the space right next to the iron ball, then just make sure there isn’t any ink leaking from the cartridge. Let it rest for about two hours with the print head facing downwards. If it releases more ink than usual in this position, we recommend you take out a bit more ink to it. If it’s not releasing enough, then add some more air. This will solve any of the two issues.

Recommendations:
We recommend you print several test sheets after you’re done with this process. If you wish to learn how to do this, please read the following post.

How to align HP 60 ink cartridges installed in HP F4480 printers

Aligning your ink cartridges is a very important tool to know how to use, since it can solve several different printing errors on your printer, such as lines on the sheets, the use of an improper ink color for a document or picture, and/or blurry prints.

This is a very simple procedure if you’ve already installed the HP solution center program, created to configure your printer. Another program is usually installed along with your printer, and it allows you to customize and modify certain aspects of it, such as paper size and printer color selection among many others.

You can usually access all these options by entering your printer’s configuration, which you can learn how to do by following the steps we’re about to explain you. If you need any help with this, please contact us.

Even when you already have this default program installed on your computer, you will also need to get an extra piece of software called HP solution center. However, if you’ve installed your printer’s drivers with the original CD it came with, you will not need to look for it online, since it’s already been installed with everything else.

If you’ve downloaded these drivers from the internet, you will need to download the program yourself and install it on your computer. In order to download this program direcctly from the HP website, please click on the following link.

Alignment procedure for the HP 60 ink cartridges:

Usually, we’d use this information to scan the test sheet on the same printer that made it. You may already know how to scan a document on this printer but, if you don’t, please read the following information, which may be very helpful to you now and in the future. You can find all of these solutions in the information the printer manufacturer supplied you with.

In order to scan one of these pages, you will need to lift the scanner’s lid, also known as the photocopier lid on your printer. Now take a look at this next picture.
