However, this printer can cause a bit of trouble if we try to install a refilled ink cartridge in it. You will be able to tell something is wrong with your HP printer when the LED indicator starts blinking constantly.

Step #1:
In first place, please turn off your printer using the on/off button on it. The following picture will show you how this button looks.
The on/off button can usually be found on your printer’s main panel, and it should look similar to this picture.
Step #2:
Next, disconnect the USB and power cables from your printer. The USB cable is responsible for sending data from your computer to your printer, while the power cord supplies the printer with electricity. The following image will show you where to locate the USB cable.

Now, press and hold the on/off and cancel buttons on your printer simultaneously. Usually, this button is marked with an X on it and can be found on the main panel of any printer, but the next picture will show you exactly what it looks like on this particular printer.
Step #4:
While keeping both buttons pressed down, reattach the printer’s power cord. Now please take a look at the following picture.
Step #5:
You should now let go of of both buttons at the same time. The LED indicators will blink for a short while, and after about 5 seconds the printer will go back to normal.
