How to reset the page counter on canon pixma MP190 printers

The canon pixma mp190 printers are multifunction models created for home and small business use. They have good overall functioning and they’re very compat. Also, this device can scan, copy and print.

The canon fine ink cartridges this printer works with contribute to this good functioning, which also work well with continuous ink systems due to the large amounts of ink they hold and the lack of an inner sponge that could bleed on the print heads.

You should try all the procedures described ahead, and check which works the best for you before restoring the page counter. This reset procedure was made for the canon mp198, but can also work on this printer.

You could also restore the page counter without running this program, and your printer could become unlocked without using it. Here’s the link to download the restoring program for canon pixma mp190 and mp198 printers.

First possible solution for restoring the page counter on canon pixma 190 printers:

Step #1:
Turn the printer on. You usually have to connect the device and press the on/off button on it to get it running, which you can locate on the upper part of the printer.

Step #2:
Access service mode on your canon printer. Take a look at the following procedure to set your printer in service mode:

• Settings
• Scanner
• Copy
• Scanner

Step #3:
Select number 8, where you’ll be able to locate the test mode option.

Step #4:
Select 3, where eeprom clear appears.

Step #5:
Now select 0 on the ink count option to restore the ink counter.

Step #6:
Press the set button on your printer.

Step #7:
Finally, press the stop/reset button. This is the red button you use to cancel documents. This will take you back to step #3, and you will have to turn your printer off and on again.

1. Enter service mode on your canon printer.
You can do this by executing the following procedure and pressing these buttons on your printer’s panel: menu - copy - scanner - copy - copy. This will set your printer in this particular mode.

2. Select the test mode option.
Once you’re in any printer’s service mode, all these options will be in English. Unfortunately, you can’t alter the language on service mode, since the manufacturers leave this as the default language.

3. In test mode, select printer test or #8.
4. Now select eeprom clear or #3.
5. Then select ink count or #0.
6. Press the set button on your printer’s panel.
7. Now press and hold the stop/reset button on your printer for 10 seconds. Then, press the on/off button to turn your printer off. After this is done, turn your printer back on and check to see if the error persists.

If the problem continues after you’ve executed this second procedure, you may discard it completely. We’ve appreciate it very much if you could take the time to answer the form in the comment section at the end of this post, and tell us about the results you got so we can discard one or more of these possible solutions. Please take a look at the last alternative, and stick to the steps described ahead.

1. Start this process with your printer turned off. You only need to turn it off, not disconnect the power source it’s attached to.
2. Press the stop/reset button on the printer, and then press the button you use to turn your printer on. The stop/reset button is the one you use to cancel documents after you’ve started printing them, or to resume older printing jobs. the on/off button is used to turn the printer on.
3. Now let go of the stop/reset button and keep the on/off button pressed down.
4. Then press the resume button and release the on/off one.
5. Your printer will now blink green and the restoring procedure will start.

Your printer has problems with your black or tricolor ink cartridge.

We recommend you search this blog for your printer model, since not all restoring programs are valid on every computer, and some of them only work on specific models.

How to get rid of the full waste ink pad error message on canon mp360 printers

When we talk about the canon mp360 printer, we talk about a device with good overall functioning and great performance, especially because of its compact design. You can print, copy and scan, all at the same time, on this printer.

This particular device can print up to 18 black-and-white pages per minute due to its high-speed performance, caused by the 2.0 usb cable it works with. It’s compatible with windowsxp (service pack 1) and windows 2000 (service pack 4). The canon mp360 printer can work with many different page sizes, such as letter, legal, A4, A5, 4 "x 6", 5 "x 7", USA. # 10 and envelope. You can also copy up to 18 pages per minute and make seamless copies.

However, the page counter on these printers needs to be restored after you’ve printed a large amount of pages. This program will cause an error message and say the waste ink pads in your printer are now full, which is a common situation when you’ve worked with these printers a lot. Procedure to get rid of the excess residual ink in canon printers marked with the 343 error message:
This process is also compatible with canon mp360 and mp390 printer model.

Step #1:
While the printer is on, press the following buttons in this sequence: settings - scanner - copy - scanner.

This procedure will get you in the printer’s service mode, where you’ll be able to configure the printer internally. Please stick to what we’re doing in these steps to avoid irreparable damage.

Step #2:
Now select mode, which is the last option in the entire selection menu.

Step #3:
On this new menu, select the #8 or printer test option. The printer will now start a process where it seems to be cleaning something inside it. Once the numbers 8-2 and 8-3 are displayed on the printer’s screen, please press the + and - keys until 8-3 shows up on its own. Then, click on the select button.

1. EEPROM clear will appear on the menu.
2. Set the ink counter back to zero (0) and press select again.
3. Finally, press the stop/reset and on/off buttons simultaneously. Your printer will now restart.

How to restore the epson stylus photo tx700w printer

The epson stylus multifunction photo tx700w has arrived to Latin America as printer made to help photographers. You can obtain the best photo printing quality with this printer, with prints that dry almost immediately. This printer also includes the high-definition photographic ink.

This printer works perfectly via wifi, and has two trays where you can place both regular and photographic paper without changing the kind of paper in them.

When we get to drive google document what we have to do is go to file. in the upper left part of our screen.

Once the document has been extracted, click on the program file that looks exactly like this one.

Step #3:
A new message window will be displayed on your screen stating this is a free program. Then, click on accept.

Step #4:
For this next step, you will need to select the select option, located on the upper-right side of the window. Now look at the next image.

Step #5:
Another window will appear, where you’ll be able to select the usb port the printer is connected to. Select the auto select option from the list and click on ok. Please pay attention to the following picture.

Step #6:
On the model name menu, the name of the restoring process you’re trying to execute will show up. Leave the destination listing as is, as well as the auto selection option that appears on the port listing.

After clicking on ok, the menu where you selected the auto selection option will disappear, and only the main window for the program will remain. There, you will select the particular adjustment mode. Now look at the next image.

Step #7:
You will need to be very careful in this step, since selecting any other option that the one we’re telling you to can be fatal for your printer, and could delete all configurations on it for good. This is why we recommend you select only the option we include in this step.

You must now select the waste ink pad counter option and then click on ok to continue with the procedure. This will restore your printer and it will no longer say the waste ink pads are full. We know your printer may be saying they’re full because of the amount of pages you’ve printed on it, but please keep in mind these pads will remain full and could cause you some problems in the future.

Step #8:
Finally, select all the options available and click on check to make sure everything’s working well. Then, click on accept and later on initialization. Once this process is finished, click on finish to exit.

Now that this procedure is over, please turn your printer off and wait 30 seconds before turning it on again. You have now restored the page counter program that was telling your printer the waste ink pads were full. Take a look at this last picture.

How to align HP 60 ink cartridges installed in HP F4480 printers

Aligning your ink cartridges is a very important tool to know how to use, since it can solve several different printing errors on your printer, such as lines on the sheets, the use of an improper ink color for a document or picture, and/or blurry prints.

This is a very simple procedure if you’ve already installed the HP solution center program, created to configure your printer. Another program is usually installed along with your printer, and it allows you to customize and modify certain aspects of it, such as paper size and printer color selection among many others.

You can usually access all these options by entering your printer’s configuration, which you can learn how to do by following the steps we’re about to explain you. If you need any help with this, please contact us.

Even when you already have this default program installed on your computer, you will also need to get an extra piece of software called HP solution center. However, if you’ve installed your printer’s drivers with the original CD it came with, you will not need to look for it online, since it’s already been installed with everything else.

If you’ve downloaded these drivers from the internet, you will need to download the program yourself and install it on your computer. In order to download this program direcctly from the HP website, please click on the following link.

Alignment procedure for the HP 60 ink cartridges:

Step #1:
In order to access the HP solution center program, you must enter the start menu on your computer first. We will show you how to open this program both from windowsxp and windows7. For windowsxp, please follow the next set of sequence: click on start menu - all programs - HP - Hp solution center.

If, on the other hand, you need to access this program from windows7, stick to this other series: click on the windows logo - all programs - HP - HP solution center.

Step #2:
The HP solution center program will open in a new window. Now take a look at the following picture.

Step #3:
Now that you’re inside the HP solution center program, click on the configuration icon located on the lower-right side of the window. This next image will show you how it looks.

Step #4:
After clicking on the configuration icon, a new window will appear on screen. there you will need to click on the printer toolbox option.

Step #5:
Once you’re inside this toolbox, look for another option called printer cartridge alignment and click on it. This should look like the icon shown in the following picture. Please take a look at it.

Step #6:
Then, a confirmation message will appear, and you will print a test sheet directly from your printer. You must keep this sheet and have the same printer scan it. From now on, this post will teach you how to print a test sheet, that you can scan at any moment with your own printer.

Usually, we’d use this information to scan the test sheet on the same printer that made it. You may already know how to scan a document on this printer but, if you don’t, please read the following information, which may be very helpful to you now and in the future. You can find all of these solutions in the information the printer manufacturer supplied you with.

In order to scan one of these pages, you will need to lift the scanner’s lid, also known as the photocopier lid on your printer. Now take a look at this next picture.

Now you must place the document you want to scan on the actual scanner. We recommend you put the side of the page that holds all the information facing downwards. You will need to place the paper sheet right on the middle of the crystal, on the exact position of the scanner.

The next picture will help you with your scanner. Please take a look at it.

What you must do next is locate the scan button on the printer’s panel, which is usually located on the left side of it, close to the scanner crystal. Also, the scanner is usually marked with the scanner symbol we’re about to show you in the next picture.

Wait for the printer to finish the scanning process. These sheets are usually saved on the pictures folder in your computer, but they can also be located on my pc - scanned images. However, your scanner could ask you where to save these images before scanning them.

Now that you’ve downloaded the file, you will need to extract it. You can get this done by downloading and installing winrar, an external program, on your computer. However, this is only a recommendation. The next image will show you how to extract a file using winrar.

Once the file has been extracted, you must click on the program file we’re about to show you in the next picture.

Step #3:
A new message will appear on your screen, saying this is a free program. Then, you must click on accept.

Step #4:
In this next step, you will need you to mark the select option, located on the upper-right side of the menu. Please take a look at the following picture.

Step #5:
Another window will appear, where you’ll be able to select the usb port the printer is attached to. Here you must select the auto selection option and click on okay. The next picture will show you how to do it.

The name of this restoring process will be displayed in the model name are. Please leave the default destination as is, as well as the default port option that appears on the menu, i.e. auto selection. Please look at the last picture for guidance. After clicking on ok, this menu there you selected auto selection will disappear, and only the program’s main screen will remain. Here you must select the particular adjustment mode option. The next piture will show you where to do it.

Step #7:

Be very careful when executing this step, since selecting any other option but the one we suggest can be fatal for your printer, and could delete its configuration and settings permanently. Please select the waste ink pad counter option, and then click on ok to continue with this process.

This will restore your printer and it will no longer say these ink pads are full. We know printer can sometimes say they’re full even when they’re not due to the amount of pages that have been printed on this device, but they will always remain full and that these could cause some problems in the future.

Step #8:

Finally, select all the options you must, and then click on check just to make sure everything’s working well. After this, click on accept, then on initialization. Wait until the process is finished and, finally, click on finish.

Now you must turn your printer off, and wait for 30 seconds before turning it back on. The page counter that was saying the waste ink pads were full is not restored. Please take a look at the following picture.

How to print without borders on canon printers

Occasionally, we need to get rid of all the borders on our prints, whether it’s because we don’t want to see the borders on it, or because we need to delete the borders on the particular document we’re about to print.

Even if you make the document larger than it originally is and try to print it this way, you won’t be able to achieve a borderless print because your printing program has been configured to show every border. This option has been preset on your printer.

This is why we created this post, which we’ve extracted from the canon printer user manual. If you have the installation manual with you, we recommend you read it; printer manufacturers always include useful information that could help you use your printer in a better way.

When we talk about border or borderless printing, we’re referring to prints that look like the ones depicted in the following pictures. The first one has been printed with borders, and the second one without.

The configuration procedure for borderless printing is the following:

Please keep in mind you must have already installed the corresponding drivers, and also to know a little bit about how to manipulate the way they function. Step #1:The first step is to open the printer’s settings to select the borderless printing option. You can locate this option on the page layout menu.

In order to enter the printer settings window, you must follow the next steps. However, this will all depend on the operating system you’re working with. If you wish to learn which operating system you’re using on your computer, please read the post how to find out which operating system I’m using.

Steps to enter your printer’s settings:

1. In windowsxp, select start menu - control panel - printers and other hardware - printers and faxes. 2. If you’re using windows7, click on start menu - printing devices.
Now select your printer model. On windows7, it’s usually depicted with a printer logo. Then open the file menu and select printing preferences. A new driver configuration window will appear. Step #2:Now that you’ve entered the printer’s preferences, you will be able to see many different options to choose from. Select the page setup option, located on the upper part of the window. This is the second option on the menu from left to right.

Step #3:After you’ve opened this menu, select the borderless printing option.

Step #4:Once you’ve selected this option, click on execute. A configuration message will appear, and then you must must on accept. From now on, you could start getting a message every time you’re about to print, asking you to select this option or not for that particular printing job. Step #5:Check the type of paper you want to print with has been set as the default one. If you’re about to print with A4 paper, for example, make sure the page size on your printer is also A4. You can change or modify this on the page size option. Step #6:Now you must adjust the amount of extension according to your own needs. You will need to do this particular configuration using the gliding menu. If you go right, you’ll increase the size, and if you go left you’ll decrease it. Please take a look at the following picture.

Step #7:

Finally, click on ok and save all the configuration. Your printer should now print without any borders.

How to solve the u041 error message on canon printers

In order to get rid of this error message, you will need to restore your printer. Please keep in mind that whenever you restore one of these devices it may change numbers on your computer. This particular solution is a very simple one, but you can always contact us by posting a comment in the section below this post if you have any problems with this procedure.

This error usually shows up when the ink cartridges haven’t been installed properly, or when the contacts on them are dirty. You should also know this error message appears on canon printer models created more than 3 years ago.

The solution to this problem can be summarized in three steps.

Procedure for solving the u041 error message on canon printers:
Step #1:
First of all, turn your printer off. You won’t need to disconnect the power cable this time.

Step #2:
Now that the printer’s off, please press and hold the ok and stop/reset buttons on it simultaneously. The stop/reset button key can be found on the lower-left side of the panel.

Step #3:
While keeping both buttons pressed down, turn your printer on. You will now be able to see the printer restore itself.

After this last procedure has finished, we recommend you install the ink cartridges on the printer as we’re about to show you. If the u041 error is being caused by some malfunction in your ink cartridges, this should get rid of it.

This procedure will work on any printer that uses canon 30 and canon 40 ink cartridges, among many others.

Please repeat the following steps to change the ink cartridges on your canon printer

Once you’ve checked the printer is turned on, open the lid that’s located under the scanner, just as the following picture indicates. Now take a look at it.

After you’ve opened this gate and made sure the cartridge carriage has reached a comfortable changing position, look for the ink cartridge you’re going to install on the printer. If you’re about to use a brand new ink cartridge, please follow the next steps. First, you must remove the protective ribbon that goes around this canon cartridge.

Please do everything in your power to keep your hands away from the contacts on your cartridge, but especially far away from the print heads that are also on it. The next picture will point them out for you.

This other picture will show you the proper way of installing an ink cartridge on this printer. While it is very simple, we recommend you stick to this procedure and apply it firmly to help set the contacts in place. This will also save you some problems in the future. The next image will show you how to do it.

We recommend you stick to this procedure and place it exactly as it’s shown in the picture to avoid damaging the cartridge. If you ever need to remove the ink cartridge from the printer, do it exactly this way.

How to restore the HP laserjet m1522nf printer

The hp laserjet m1522 mfp series have outstanding performance due to the  multiple tasks it comes with: printing, copying and scanning. This printer work with the 36a toner cartridge that yields up to 2,000 A4 pages, and can print up to 24 letter-sized sheets per minute. It also carries a USB cable with 2.0 speed, and a flat surface scanner.

Restoring this printer will reset all the functions in it, so you can solve most use-related errors and delete all passwords set on the printer by this procedure on it. It’s very easy and simple to do.

You should take into account that the printer’s name may vary in your computer: it will maintain its main model name and number, but it’ll be followed by the words “copy 1” at the very end.

Also, you must check there is actually an error message on your printer before restoring it. If there is one, then proceed with this cold reset.

Please read the following information to get this done.

Step #1:
First, turn your printer off. To do it, press the on/off button on the main panel, which is usually located on the back of the printer. Please use all official documents and information if you have them at hand.

Step #2:
Now press the arrow facing downwards and the cancel button simultaneously. The cancel button is usually market with a “C”.

Step #3:
Next, turn your printer on while keeping both these buttons pressed, and wait for the “permanent storage unit” message to show up on its main screen. You can release all buttons after this message is displayed.

Step #4:
Once the process has finished, the printer will display the “ready” or “done” message. Your printer is now fully restored and should be working properly. If it isn’t, please contact us.

How to restore the samsung scx 4300 printer

We will now tell you about a particular samsung monochrome printer that is known for its high page yield, ideal for small businesses and offices. It can print up to 18 A4 pages per minute and, since it’s a multifunction printer, it can print, scan and copy.

As usual, we can count on samsung’s high quality products. This is one of the smallest multifuncti n laser printers in the market, and can be made to fit in any office or workplace.

Unfortunately, as manufacturers evolve and move forward, so do the techniques they use to keep us from refilling toner or ink cartridges to save a bit of money in printer accessories.

Samsung also takes part in this new trend, and has installed chips inside the toner cartridges that make them burn completely as soon as they run out of ink.

However, we’ve managed to discover the page counter used on samsung scx 4300 and have decided to share it with all of you. Please read the entire procedure, and remember you can contact us by leaving a comment in the section below this post if something goes wrong.
Before we start with the page counter restoring process, you will need to remove this chip from the toner cartridge. The next picture will show you what it looks like.

Once you’ve removed the chip successfully, put it back in the toner cartridge and get your printer on service mode to continue with this process. Service mode is specifically used for printer configuration. If you don’t know how to set your samsung printer in service or tech mode, please read the following steps:

Step #1:
First, press the menu button on your printer. This is second button to the left on the main panel. The next image will show you how it looks.

Step #2:
Press the star or start work button on the printer’s panel, it should look like the one depicted in the following picture.

Step #3:
Then press the key with the arrow facing left, and the one with the arrow facing right. Now please take a look at the following image.


Step #4:
Press menu again. Nere is the button you need to push.

Step #5:
Now press the button heading rightwards, as indicated in the next picture.
Once this process is done, “Tech mode” or “service mode” will appear on your printer’s main screen.

Now press menu, then data setup, flash upgrade and, finally, the ok key. Now that you’re inside this menu, create a new C:\ folder. Click here to learn how to make on on your printer.

In order to do this, you will need to open any folder on it, which will help you create a new C:\ folder in your computer. This folder can be found on the left side of the original folder.

Now right-click on the C drive logo, scroll down to new and then select folder. Take a look at the following picture. Right-click on computer or my pc.

The computer or my pc folders will now be fully displayed on your computer’s screen, as we’re showing you in the next picture.

You must now right-click on local disk ( c ) and select the options new-folder. Please take a look at the following image.

After creating this new folder, please rename it 4300. Then extract the document contained in the following folder. In order to download this file from googledocs, click on file and then on the download option. Please remember to download and extract this file in the same folder you just created. Step #6:

Finally, access the C:\4300 printer from an MS-DOS window. If you don0t know how to get one open, please read the following steps to do it on windows7. First, go to start menu, which is usually located on the bottom-left part if your desktop and is marked with a windows logo. The next picture will show you how it looks.

You can now see some of the main programs used on your computer, or the ones you work with the most. Then, type execute on the search menu and click on the emerging option. It will take you to a window very similar to the one we’re about to show you.

You will need to type CMD in this new window and click on accept. This will open MS-DOS for us, where we’ll access the C:\4300 folder from and run some of the files that came with the zipped file we downloaded. Please take a look at the following picture to watch an open MS-DOS window.

You will now enter the C:\>4300 folder from MS-DOS and proceed to execute the next file:

"fix4300.exe SCX4300_V1.13_Fact_romdl.hd"

Typing this action will create this file:

"FIX_SCX4300_V1.13_Fact_romdl.hd"

Once you’ve created this file, type in and execute this line:

"usbprns2.exe FIX_scx4300_v1.13_fact_romdl.hd"

Your computer screen will look like it’s processing some data, and the printer’s main screen will display the message “downloading.” This means the printer is currently being restored. Please keep in mindyou will need to enter the tech or service mode once more to finish restoring the page counters inside your printer.

How to access your printer’s tech mode:

Press the menu button, and then select the following options in this exact order: data setup - clear counters - clear all cnt - total page cnt - ok.
