How to refill the HP 56 black ink cartridge

The HP 56 black ink cartridge has a very high page yield due to the amount of ink the sponge inside them can soak up. If you buy this cartridge directly from the manufacturer, you can print up to 520 pages with it.

After refilling it with approximately 17ml of ink, you can still print up to 400 pages. We recommend you refill this cartridge with pigmented ink, which will help the cartridge reach laser print quality. You will still get the same results after refilling it and a page yield close to the original one.

If you wish to learn more about ink types, please read the following post. Finally, we recommend you follow this procedure to the letter to avoid causing any harm to your cartridge.

If this procedure doesn’t work out for you, please contact us by leaving a comment in the section below this post.

This ink cartridge is compatible with the following printer models:

HP deskjet 5550, 5551 and 5552;HP portable deskjet 450cbi; HP photosmart 7150, 7350, 7550, 7660, 7760 and 7960; HP multifunction psc 2105, 2108, 2110, 2115, 2150 and 2210; and HP officejet 6111.

Instructions for refilling an HP 56 black ink cartridge:

Before we start, we recommend you have clean the contacts on the cartridge. However, this is necessary, not mandatory, especially because these ink cartridges have such great performance.

If you haven’t used these cartridges for a long time, we suggest you clean them first because there may be some dried ink on the print head, which is never good. If you wish to learn how to do this, then please read the following post.

After you’re done with the cleaning process which, again, is not mandatory, you may proceed to refill the cartridge. Please take into account we recommend you clean your cartridge after every three (3) refills.

Step #1:
First, put the cartridge on a surface you can spill some ink on. We don’t recommend you put it on any white material, since you won’t be able to remove the ink from it. On the contrary, we suggest you use dark or black materials, and that you place the cartridge on a flat surface that you can clean easily in case some ink lands on it.

Step #2:
Then, remove the label that has the number of the ink cartridge drawn on it. We always recommend you take this label off the cartridge; it is the one responsible for letting the necessary amount of air into the cartridge, which contributes to its performance and the print quality. Remove this label slowly to avoid damaging it.
place to put the ink
place to put the ink
Step #3:
You may now inject the 17ml of ink very slowly into the cartridge. Please do this as slowly as possible to help the ink spread inside the cartridge and soak up the sponge located in it.

Step #4:
Now that you’ve refilled the ink cartridge, all you need to do is print a test sheet with it. We recommend you leave the cartridge in the printer from this moment on.

Unfortunately, something could still go wrong with this procedure, even if you’ve followed the steps in this post strictly. If this is your case, please contact us by leaving a comment in the section below this post, and we will help you out immediately.

As we were saying, we always recommend you print a test sheets after refilling an ink cartridge. If you wish to learn how to do this, then please visit the following post.

Remove the ink cartridge from the printer and clean the contacts on it with a wet napkin. You should also clean the contacts on the printer.
  • If you still can’t find a solution, turn the printer off for 10 minutes and disconnect the power cord.
  • You may plug this cable and put the ink cartridge back in the printer after the 10 minutes have passed.
  • If this doesn’t help either, then please contact us.

How to refill the HP 54 black ink cartridge

The HP 54 black cartridge is known for its high page yield: you can print up to 600 pages with it, and up to 400 after it’s been refilled. Even when this cartridge wasn’t installed on many HP printers, the ones that do have it are some of the best out there.

This ink cartridge can print laser-quality pages because of the ink they work with. These cartridge are filled with pigmented ink, which lasts longer, dries faster and has a better glow to it. How to get rid of the full waste ink pad error message on canon mp360 printers

When we talk about the canon mp360 printer, we talk about a device with good overall functioning and great performance, especially because of its compact design. You can print, copy and scan, all at the same time, on this printer.

This particular device can print up to 18 black-and-white pages per minute due to its high-speed performance, caused by the 2.0 usb cable it works with. It’s compatible with windowsxp (service pack 1) and windows 2000 (service pack 4). The canon mp360 printer can work with many different page sizes, such as letter, legal, A4, A5, 4 "x 6", 5 "x 7", USA. # 10 and envelope. You can also copy up to 18 pages per minute and make seamless copies.

However, the page counter on these printers needs to be restored after you’ve printed a large amount of pages. This program will cause an error message and say the waste ink pads in your printer are now full, which is a common situation when you’ve worked with these printers a lot. Everything needs to come to an end, at some point.

After you’ve printed many pages with your canon mp360 printer, the printer itself will tell you it needs to have all the ink pad absorbers in it changed, or that you need to take it in for official tech support. In most cases, we either aren’t close enough to the company, or simply lack the money or time to do this. Fortunately, on this post you’ll learn how to solve this error message when it appears on your printer. Just follow the steps ahead if this is what you want.

If you have any problem executing this procedure, please contact us by leaving a comment in the section below this post.

How to photocopy in canon mp series printers

When you’re working with a canon mp series printer, there are plenty of copy options on it. You can perform regular A4 copies up to high-resolution photographic copies. You may also do enlarged or reduced versions of the original document, as well as create seamless copies using these printers.

Normal or A4 copies:

This printer will take any of the following paper sizes:
4" x 6"/10 x 15 cm; 4" x 8"/101,6 x 203,2 mm; 5" x 7"/13 x 18 cm o 2,16" x 3,58"/55,0 x 91,0.

You must organize the sheets before loading them on the printer, for which we recommend you align the margins of the paper tray to be able to introduce them properly. Now please look at the next picture.

Before you begin, you must make sure the paper tray is loaded with a few pages. This main paper tray is located on the top of the printer.

Once the process is finished, remember to remove all the pages from the tray and close the access gate, since many foreign objects may enter the printer through it and cause paper jams that damage your printer. Click here to read our post regarding paper jams in canon printers.
The next image will show you where to place the blank pages you’re going to use in order to copy the original document of your choosing.

You must be very aware of the placement of the sheet on the scanner’s crystal to perform the actual scan. The next picture will show you how to do this properly.

You should also know that scanners usually have a small picture engraved on the plastic that surrounds the crystal that indicates the exact position the pages must be put in. The next picture will show you where to find it.

Once you lowered the lid and close the scanner, the next thing you must do is select how many copies you want to make. You will have to use the main screen on your canon printer for this, since almost all canon mp series printers have one installed on the top. Now select the amount of pages you want using the (+) key on it. You can make up to 20 copies of the same document using this printer. Now please pay attention to the next picture.
select the number of copies
select the number of copies
If you press the + button the number of pages will increase. The (f) symbol will appear on screen after you’ve reached 20 copies-. If you wish to return to 1, please push the + once more.

We recommend you put only the amount of pages you need to use in your printer.

If you wish to change the size of the copies, you must press the paper button. It will display all the types of paper the printer can copy. The page sizes you can choose from are the following:
1. Regular A4 u 8,5" x 11"
2. Photographic A4 paper u 8,5" x 11"
3. Photographic paper 10 x 15 cm o 4" x 6"

If you, for example, select the A4 size on this menu but use a photographic paper sheet to copy a document, then the final copy will have the size of the photographic sheet instead of the A4 one.

Important note: do not lift the cover of the scanner or remove the original document while the printer’s still copying. This will distort the information and make the copies look bad.

If you want to make color copies:

You can make all-black copies by selecting the black-and-white or color buttons located on the printer’s main panel. Now please look at the following picture.
color buttons
color buttons
The #9 button will allow you to make black-and-white copies with your printer, while the #8 one is related to color copies and the #7 is in charge of restoring.

This last button is used to restore the printer if you’ve refilled your ink cartridges and it doesn’t recognize them anymore.
