How to restore the ink levels on canon mx300 printers

This particular canon printer is a multifunction model, created for office use. Also, it works with the canon pg-40 and pg-41 ink cartridges.

The quality on these cartridge is photographic, the printer itself is very small and has a high endurance. If you wish to refill these cartridge, look fo r post on how to do it on this blog.

This cartridge can print up to 22 pages per minute and copy 17 pages per minute as well. It scans at 600 ppp, and has a two-way lcd screen. This printer is compatible with both windows and mac x operating systems.
There isn’t any program that can restore this printer, or at least I can’t find one that does it, but there is a way of restoring it using the buttons on the printer itself. This restore procedure also works on the canon mx308 printer.

Restoring procedure for the canon mx300/308 printer:

Step #1:
Turn the printer off and disconnect the power power cable. You must turn the printer off first by pressing on the on/off button located on the main panel of the printer.

Take a look at the next picture to learn how to disconnect the power cable from your printer.

Step #4:
Let go of the on/off button and continue to press the stop/reset one. The printer will now enter factory mode. Wait for 10 seconds until the printer displays the word inactive on the main screen. Your printer could take a bit more time than this for displaying the message.

Step #5:
Now press the next or ">" button until you reach the shipping mode 3 option, and then press the ok key. Hit the ok button one more time to wipe it. The printer will now print a test sheet.

Step #6:
